The streets of the old downtown keep more secrets than you might have known. Animation loop inspired by walks through the New York City in November 2019.

Main inspiration came from aesthetics of 30's in the USA. It is pretty much a recreation of  one of the shots from my favourite movie Road To Perdition directed by Sam Mendes.
The goal was to get a strong shape stylization with combination of PBR and stylized shaders.
Modularity and model processing in Houdini helped to streamline the whole process.

Final loop was combination of switching between the still frames and full frame range animation of selected objects. I decided to paint the background sky completely in 2D to support the stylization of the image.
