What began as a simple exercise in Blender to refine my custom shading technique gradually evolved into a standalone artwork.
Ever since visiting the remarkable industrial complex of Vítkovice in Ostrava during the Colours of Ostrava music festival, I’ve wanted to capture its atmosphere—the feeling of wandering among the massive, towering structures that define the site. The lower sections, especially those surrounding the enormous furnaces, felt otherworldly and inspiring.
The final piece draws influence from the evocative 19th-century paintings of the working class, subtly blended with sci-fi elements.
